Freedom Force not working? Read why here.

If you have Windows XP and Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed and you're trying to start the game but it won't go, chances are it's because of SP2. The issue has to do with the game trying to access memory that it shouldn't normally be accessing and while previous versions of Windows were fine with this, SP2 has built-in memory protection features that stop it cold. There are a number of other games and applications that have been affected by this so Freedom Force is not the only program to suffer.
There are two current solutions:
1. As Freedom Force is compatible with Windows XP (original release) and Service Pack 1 (SP1) but not Service Pack 2 (SP2), do not install SP2 at this time.
2. Wait for the patch.
We understand that not being able to play the game can be frustrating and we will release a patch to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Right now, everyone at Irrational is crunching like mad to get Freedom Force vs The Third Reich and SWAT 4 out the door and our manpower & other resources is very limited at this time. Unfortunately, we also have no help from Microsoft or EA (former publisher) in solving these issues.
We thank you for your patience while we deal with this problem. The patch will be available soon after the release of FFv3R.
Je sais qu'une pétition envoyé a MICROSOFT surtout ou Electronic Arts ne règlerais rien mais y'aurais pas un moyen de leur demander de faire un petit quelque chose...
En passant est-ce bien complique de dé-installer le SP2?
